Nornheim
The kingdom of Karnilla, the Norn Queen, and the only permanently inhabitted region of Niffleheim. The seat of government and largest settlement is the Nornkeep.
It takes its name from the Nornstones, a group of incredibly powerful magical artifacts which granted Karnilla her immensely magical power, longevity, and which were used to create the Nornkeep and the magical barriers which protect the kingdom. Although the stones were lost to Karnilla during the reign of Bor, she retains the Matrix Stones, which allows her to maintain the existing magics, and her own eternal youth.
Although Asgard claim Niffleheim as part of the Asgardian Empire, Nornheim considers itself independant, creating a tense political situation.
