The Beyonder

Little is known about the being known as the Beyonder, as they are the only member of their species ever known to have visited this dimension, and disclosed little about themself while here, not even their name.
According to them, Beyonders sustain themselves on the life-force released on the death of other living beings. Most Beyonders do this by wiping out entire civilisations, however the Beyonder considered this immoral, and instead chose to kill only a few individuals via a 'contest of champions', where a handful of powerful individuals are kidnapped and forced to fight to the death to sustain them.
They were eventually killed when America Chavez followed them through to Reality 616, and worked with a new batch of Chosen Heroes to remove the Beyonder's link to their Manifold, making him vulnerable to physical attack. Thus weakened, they were killed by Lin Lie, who used the Ebony Blade to absorb the Beyonder's energy.
