After Betty Ross becomes a Gamma Mutate, Bruce Banner has Samuel Sterns give her the first dose of his gamma cure.
However, the cure fails, and instead causes her to mutate into the Harpy. She then flees Sterns's lab, flying away, just as the Hulkbusters arrive to take Bruce into custody.
