Commander Connor Ardennian is lead investigator and team leader of the Bureau of Curious Cases.
Born in 654 AGB to
Deirdre Ardennian and
William O'Riley Ardennian, Connor Ardennian has become one of the most notable Ardennians in some time. He explored much of the world as a child with his mother, and most notably, during a trip to Shambhalla rescued a
Lupolucian cub, that unknown to him at the time, followed him home. The cub is still Connor's pet to this day, known as
Oliver.
Connor attended Gregory Academy as a child and then followed his mother in attending Preston University, and nearly matching his mother's high honors.
Connor enrolled in the
Spheran military upon graduation and served from 672-677. In that little time, he achieved the rank of Commander, and had his own unit. Connor was credited in helping on the Island of St. Fire, when flooding form Hurricane Marshall nearbly sunk St. Fire. He also was crediting with helping to with the Battle of Porter Bay. He also commanded a unit to Valhalla and took part in defense against the mysterious Wraths in 677, in which he was nearly killed.
After that, he resigned from the Spheran Military and joined the family organization of the
Bureau of Curious Cases. When he joined, his mother
Deirdre Ardennian finally felt comfortable to step down as Lead Investigator and to focus on running the organization. Connor was promoted to Lead Investigator, which he has served since.
Personality
Connor is known for his leadership skills and his ability to adapt to varying circumstances. He is quick witted, and prone to humor. He's thoughtful, and known to be kind to everyone. His humor masks the level of seriousness in which he takes dangerous situations. He is extremely protective of his family and anyone close to him. He has a love for mysteries and riddles, and is known to like the peace and quiet of the hills by @Bluestone.
Appearance
Connor is average height and lean. He has short brown hair and is often well dressed. He does not need a walking stick, but carries one which he uses to hide his enchanted sword.
Fighting style
Connor is an expert in Kono-Hariku, an old Ryugu-Jo style of martial arts the Ardennians have used for generations. Connor is also an expert swordsman, and is considered to be among the best of the Ardennians.
Connor has a sword he aquired from Valhalla that has some magic properties that are not yet understood. With an unknown blue gemstone infused into the hilt, It is an echanted thin blade that appears to split into two blades when activated. He keeps the blade hidden in a walking stick he carries around with him.
