Nibian 6, an abandoned mining colony within the Nibian System, was destroyed. Evidence indicates that a major cataclismic weapon was used or tested within the system that resulted in the planet's destruction and the Utopia within the planet's surface jumpstarted the formation of a black hole.   The crew of the Iridium Dawn risked their lives to safe 50 refugees from Nibian 3 before the planet was consumed by the rapidly growing black hole.
