A bad time in Thistlefoot

The party was hired by Rocca Delouth to investigate the of some loggers in Thistlefoot Forest . After a brief meeting in the Nights Eye the party journeyed out into the forest, finding an abandoned logging site missing some tools. Following some strange tracks they discovered a gnoll encampment. Setting fire to the gnoll tents, and using them as a weapon to deal with the gnolls, they journeyed down into the pit they had dug. The group was ambushed by a gelatinous cube. Barely surviving they pushed forward and spoke with a man in strange garb who offered to hire them now that his gnolls are dead. The party failed to bluff their way out of the situation and fled the cavern, leaving behind the mysterious artifact that had been dug up in the forest.
