Pixie-Eating Frog

The Pixie-Eating Frog is a creature native to the Dark Forest. They are not magical nor are they sentient, they are just animals that live in dark marshy environments and hunt and eat their food.
The Pixie-eaten frogs are seen as gross and slimy by many Autarans, in part due to the creature being very ugly as well as Autarans not seeing them very often, making them even more strange and gross to them.
The Witches of the Woods may hunt them with spears or traps and eat them, this serves two aspects the first being food, and the second being to protect their Pixies from being eaten or injured.

Appearance & Behavior

The Pixie-Eating Frogs appear similar to frogs with legs that are good for jumping, a long tongue, and a large mouth to catch and eat their prey, all traits that make them seem more frog-like; however, they are not frogs and their appearance is slightly off, with their limbs being more humanlike allowing for grabbing and walking as well as jumping.
As their name suggests, they eat Pixies as their main source of prey. They are very adept a catching the speedy flying creatures and are often seen with their large mouths and bodies glowing after they have just caught one.
They live in swampy and marshy areas of the woods, places where they can hide in the mud or grasses and wait for an inattentive pixie to get close enough for it to leap up and catch it.
