The Old Gods
While there are many now, during the beginning of the world there were but seven.
The founders, these gods were the first to band together and they are the ones that created the world, and most of its creatures and plants. The gods that arrived later mostly filled gaps that the founding gods were eager to fill with the aid of others.
Leadership
Soreithra and
Deiwos , being the strongest of the gods, acted as the leaders of the world. Soreithra brought light with her fires, Deiwos brought the weather, and together they made the world a dynamic place that would be much more suitable to explore far any race of sentient beings that would be made to live in it.
Creation
The creation of living organisms was a collaboration between three of the gods.
Gaia , who created life itself, invented the concept of sexual reproduction, which made multiplying a much easier process for the beings that were created with the ability.
Ahnua , who made bodies, and who was the architect of all life's generic structures. He was responsible for devising functioning organs. The creation he was most proud of was his air delivery system, that would bring the breath of life to all parts of the body that need it, which he would call blood.
The last was
Moraia , who allowed these beings to die, to let their bodies decay, and she would guide their souls to the afterlife.
Thinking
The final duo,
Morpheus and
Mazhunga , worked together to create the ability for creatures, both sentient and not, to think. They were the ones who invented the concept of sentience, Mazunga was the one who invented free will for the races of the world, and Morpheus was the one who gave them dreams, ideas, and the ability to invent and adapt.
