Brotherhood of the Long Night

An organization that is separate yet serves the The Church of the Night. They primarily serve as protectors of the Church's temples, bodyguards to important priests and priestesses, and carry out holy missions decreed by the Stal. There is a rumor that in addition to the Brotherhood of the Long Night there is a separate organization that handles the covert business of the church. However, such rumors have been disproven time and time again. 
All members are recognizable by the branded symbol of Ambran on the back of both of their hands received during the initiation ceremony. The captains and generals receive more marks of Ambran on their chest and eventually their forehead should they rise within the organization.

Structure

The Brotherhood is officially led by the Night General who is said to be one of the most devout followers of Ambran, second only to the Stal. Directly below the Night General are the various Captains of the Brotherhood. Below the Captains are Lieutenants and below them are the Faithful, soldiers or various training that comprise the bulk of the Brotherhood.

Public Agenda

The Brotherhood is very vocal in its mission to protect the followers of Ambran and to destroy the enemies of the Church.

Assets

The Brotherhood is roughly 250,000 strong and owns several small keeps throughout Noctirnan. They have also uncovered various ruins in Noctirnan and use what they have found to arm and fund themselves.

History

Originally founded by a large number of militant followers of the Church of the Night, the Brotherhood has grown to the point where it is recognized as a legitimate organization by the Church and the Grand Duchy of Kharsyt and aid in the protection of the Church's interests. Though their behavior has shifted for the better over the years, the militant behavior that founded the Brotherhood can still be found within many of its members
