Margaret has many children, and used up almost all of her broadcloth cutting clothing for her many children, a fact about the island's coming of age tradition which is somewhat legendary in the community.
Maggie Rook married her childhood sweetheart Ron Linnet, and together they have been running Linnet Farm for many years. It is one of the biggest homesteads on the island.
Although they do grow their own food, and crops for livestock feed purposes, they mainly raise the breed of sheep whose fleece is used to manufacture the famous local broadcloth.
