Δ High-Energy Technology

A form of High Energy Technology of the Hyperion Federation. Although currently it has been rendered obsolete by the even higher energy levels of λ High-Energy Technology, it is still quite powerful.
Unlike almost every faction that exists, the HF has been using antimatter based power sources since before they became a type III civilization, or even type II. This form of technology works relatively similar to the current version of high-energy technology, but with several differences. Namely, rather than being carefully suspended in a field within a box coated in Hardlight, individual positrons are constantly directed through a cyclotron-like machine. Even this can store a massive amount of energy and is capable of compressing its particle streams into a density similar to that of hydrogen at standard conditions, but later iterations were able to create a liquid metallic hydrogen. They never developed a denser version until the advent of λ High-Energy Technology.
