Atmospheric Frigate

Small Frigate designed and used by the Hyperion Federation. As much of the rear sections are dedicated to the main engines, the ship is very fast but it sacrifices firepower and durability for it. Notably, however, the ship can fly inside the atmosphere of planets. It has multiple large wings for this.
Shortly after the introductino of the Boson - Class Destroyer, the need arised for a ship that can perform orbital bombardments very accurately. The Atmospheric Frigate was designed for this as it can get much closer to the position to be bombed. It is still large enough to provide ground armies with a very heavy punch. The Atmospheric Frigate can also fly in gas giants. More current ones can dissipate so much heat using QEN that they can fly within the surface layers of a star.

2 large Photon Thrustres. Photon thrustrs fire a large quantity of photons backwards. This pushes the ship forwards because photons have momentum.
