Directed Gravitational Beam Cannon DGBC

A powerful albeit expensive weapon used by the Hyperion Federation that is neigh impossible to counter.   The Drimax race specifically invented it. It is capable of warping spacetime significantly in a beam shape, creating holes in the target. There is very few known technologies that can counter it. Only by warping spacetime or by interfering with its aim can they be countered. Most factions in the galaxy do not posses the means to do either. It is however cost inefficient as they require a huge energy draw to fire.   The DGBC is most commonly used against targets that rely primarily on its shield to protect itself, but due to the inefficiency is actually not commonly seen on the battlefield. It is available in all colour variants except Purple, because it always has 100% shield penetration. In fact, the Thunder Cannon, being a reliable and more efficient weapon, is also often used against targets with a significant shield value, so the 2 weapons overlap in role noticeably. This can make it less popular, as the Thunder Cannon is proven.   Nonetheless, it is a valuable asset, particularly when it penetrates the full length of the enemy hull, and when it penetrates through the enemies main reactor which can make it a terrifying weapon despite it bot being used commonly. It can also hit subspatial starships, but would require a spotter from the regular dimension to target it.

Discovery
The requirement for a weapon that is able to pierce any known defence arrived when TGX Composite was developed. The Federation realized that if any other entity is equipped with adaptive armour, a weapon that cannot be adapted to would be highly effective. A member of the Drimax race came up with the idea to weaponize gravitational waves to fulfill this requirement and designed a somewhat decent blueprint (this person is not a War-Engineer). Initially, this was suboptimally designed and deemed too unsafe to use. The Federation designed a new one, which was far more safe. However, it had a very weak power output as they struggled to efficiently create a highly intense beam of gravitons. Eventually, after 14 different prototypes, a comparatively efficient and safe design was finally built, but was too large and bulky to be practical. Even Tarlox and Particle14 worked on the design, but it still took another 21 different prototypes to finally produce a practical and powerful Directed Gravitational Beam Cannon. Even the current design is inefficient compared to the other weapons, but is still powerful enough to more than meet Federation standards considering its powerful penetration property.   During the entire prototyping stage, it was criticised over and over saying that the War - Engineers would be better used for other projects  as this one was simply too difficult. Some claimed it would be impossible.
