Medora

A Shellworld built and populated by the Hyperion Federation. Medora was originally a very hot planet due to it being so close to its parent star. The shellworld harnesses solar energy to power itself. Very powerful and accurate temperature regulators make the world habitable.
It is located in the Altilae System.
Now, Medora holds a large population consisting of almost all species of the HF. Medora has a significant Sentient Robot population. It was entirely mined of metallic resources (including the core), but remains useful as an administrative planet. It has a large number of data centers for the Grand Archive. Medora also has a large number of schools where the young learn everything from the very basics to very advanced quantum physics and more.
Due to the lack of a metallic core, it has no magnetosphere but the shell protects the population on the surface from the solar radiation that would normally be harmful. The outer shell manipulates the magnetic field instead, but the surface has no noticeable field. This allows various computers to run more easily as they no longer get interference from induction.
