Wormhole Fabrication Facility WFF

A large station most often used to travel to the Unreachable Star Cluster of the Arcturus galaxy. Most of the major factions there have one, and the Hyperion Federation obtained the technology from the Republic of Miasi, their ally, allowing them to reach it too.   This station actually has a separate control station known as a Wormhole Fabricator Control Center (WFCC).   Despite their important and valuable function, these stations are not extremely large. They range on the several kilometers scale, so are not capable of fitting massive starships. However, this technology remains extremely expensive as they can only be built on some rare wormholes formed by precursor factions long ago. Additionally, they require a lot of cutting edge technology to function which makes them expensive anyway.   These wormholes are normally too small and unstable to be used, but a WFCC can capture the unique energy from these wormholes and 'shift' the wormholes to the WFFC. This can be used to inflate new wormholes at that specific location. These wormholes are not powerful enough to reach any other galaxies, unlike the ancient precursor wormholes of old, and furthermore not precise enough to reasonably reach any location within the Arcturus galaxy. Due to this, the Unreachable Cluster is the only useful location that can be reached from the WFFC, despite the immense engineering prowess that goes into them. They are not classified megastructures or pocket megastructures, being only about 10 km in size.   So far, the Hyperion Federation has not provided any engineering advice on these machines, already having the advantage of easy access to any location of the galaxy using their advanced, powerful Superluminal Acceleration Warp Drives. These machines have also become a reason for other nations to declare war. The Unreachable Star Cluster's usefulness is undeniable, and few minor factions have this access. Some wars have been fought almost entirely over WFFCs, often larger factions destroying and annexing smaller ones.
