X-82 Multirole Aircraft

A large form of military aircraft of the Hyperion Federation military.
The X-82 can achieve extremely massive speeds through the air - primarily due to the use of antimatter jet engines that compress air in front of it into an extermely high density. Normally, there is no organism that can resist the extreme acceleration resulting from this so the craft is often either piloted by a Sentient Robot or the organic pilot uses Cybernetic Enhancements to resist the extreme forces. This gives the aircraft an awesome acceleration potential - and due to the sheer volume of air it intakes, its service ceiling expands into the high stratospehre. The entire aircraft is airtight and also has light armour - giving it near-immunity to small caliber rounds that do manage to hit.
It also has an automatic incoming projectile warning system. When a projectile gets close to the aircraft, the inbuilt software can take over. With a delay that is extremely short, the craft can calculate evasive maneuvers and execute them with unparallalled efficiency. Furthermore, it can create hologram copies of itself using Electromagnetic Decoys.
Its weapon loadout can be easily configured by modifying the techprint of the craft (read Replicator for more information). It can be armed with a wide variety of weapons, ranging from photon cannons to many different types of missiles and even weapons such as railguns and chainguns. Although it cannot hide itself as the energy signature is too large, it is designed to make locking onto it difficult by jamming the lock radar using false information in its own frequency. This will not fool a HF aircraft, but can be an excellent move against other factions.
