Talents
Aim: increase connection to the narrative In-game events are a source of character developmentWhere an in-game event has a significant impact on a character, they can spend XP on a related talent:
- They rolled a lot of successes to defeat a creature or problem - they can now reliably repeat their action if the same circumstance happens again
- They've put a lot of in-game time into something and learned all the nuances of it
- A role-played moment was really meaningful
- Kerman rolls 4 successes resisting the poison of a giant rock monster; after this he could buy a talent to gain bonus dice to reflect his resistance to it - perhaps mirroring the Resistant talent rules - gaining a bonus 6 dice to resist the same, and maybe even related, poisons in the future
- Masruq spends several days schmoozing the court in Juldizin Demalisi; after this he could buy a talent to reflect his developing influence in the court and surrounding city, perhaps mirroring the rules for the Faction Standing talent
