Composition

Manpower

there are usually 26 ster-tyrantic in duty at one time. there are 20 "regular" members, 5 captains, and 1 knight-commander

Equipment

every member has a plate armor suit enchanted with runes designed to create an aura of very low tempature around them, and protects the wielder from the cold. As well, they carry medicines and some anti-toxins, as well as rations on them.

Weaponry

all members are armed with a type of glaive with a blade on each end, with ice runes carved in that inflict a severe cold on injuries caused by the weapon. As well, they all have hand crossbows carved with wind runes to increase their range.

Structure

the ster-tyrantic are split into 5 squads of 4 members each. each squad has a captain that is in charge of it. the knight commander is in charge of every member overall, and listens only to the northern tyrant himself

Tactics

each squad is trained to act in perfect formations, allowing the members to protect each other. they make sure to keep the fact they are at a battlesite hidden until it is time for them to strike, allowing them to catch an unprepared enemy. although they are few, the ster-tyrantic are the most elite warriors in the northern bulwark, and one of the most elite groups in the continent. However usually they act as bodyguards to the northern tyrant, and keep himsafe from all threats.

Training

any new members are trained for 3 months with their new gear and tactics. no extra training is provided past that as all recruits are expected to know all the other basics and advanced tactics

Logistics

Upkeep

as all their equipment is enchanted, they have runeshapers and runecarvers specefically for them, as well as being supplies a lot of material for that. As well, they have their own blacksmiths for the more mundande recources. they are given max priority for resources, so they get their recourses before anyone else.

Recruitment

The members of the ster-tyrantic are taken from the best generals and warriors in the more regular armies. each new members is tested mentally to see if they are capable. once a member joins, their identity will remain hidden while in service, and a fake story will be spread of what happened to them in order to not spread suspicions.

History

The ster-tyrantic are legends among their people and the enemy. they are considered the idol of what a soldier should aim to acheive by the military forces, and are legends among the people as shining guardians who keep the nation safe from all threats. To the enemy, they are creatures of dark legends, who some suspect are not human at all, but some monsters. They have gone and defended in every major battle fought at the gates of ster-imperianus , and 2 squads fought at the frontlines during the first flame and frost wars.

Historical loyalties

The formation is completely loyal to the northern tyrant position, not the person. This makes them very efficient bodyguards, and have sucessfully protected their charge from assassins since their founding.
