Gisele Magnier is the youngest daughter of the Count of Daynmor, Alban Magnier, and the wife of the current Count of Dunmor, Ranald Dechateone. Since marrying Ranald, Gisele has had two sons, Dunstan and Lucien.
Gisele was married to Ranald in the hopes of bringing the two Counties of Dunmor and Daynmor closer together, but that did not happen. Ranald and Gisele's father all but hate each other, even after the marriage. Gisele and Ranald maintain a civil relationship, but there doesn't seem to be much love btween them.

Gisele is not a classically "attractive" woman. She is built big, carrying herself more like a man than a woman, with a distinctly pug nose, a blotched complexion and tragically bad teeth.

Gisele is rather infamous for having a terribly annoying, braying laugh. Once started, she is incapable of keeping it in check. It is loud, distracting and utterly enrages her husband anytime he has to hear it.
