Human
History
Humans are the oldest species in the known universe, inhabiting planets all over the milky way galaxy. When they arrived in the ti'Rae System it was by complete accident; the passengers and crew of about 5,000 were sent careening off course in a celestial cataclysm that put them nearly 17 million light years away from their home galaxy. With all systems in an electrical upset, the ship was left adrift before eventually crash-landing onto the desert moon that is now known today as Crimson Hollow. With no way off the moon and no way to chart a course back to their original destination, seeing as the ti'Rae system is in the far and unknown reaches of the universe, the surviving humans decided to settle.
Ancestry
The humans of the ti'Rae system are widely diverse, appearing in a variety of colors reminiscent of the many long-forgotten nationalities of their home planet.
Relationship with Nature
When the humans crash-landed on Crimson Hollow, most of the ship's terrarium was destroyed. This was everything from plants to the seeds required to regrow them. The harsh climate of the desert moon only compounded on the inability to easily restart any form of greenhouse. Due to this, gardening and botany became a scientist's folly.
Fortunately, humans are known for their resilience and their ability to adapt and overcome harsh, if not impossible, situations. In lieu of the near destruction of edible plant life, scientists devised a way to artificially recreate the vitamins and nutrients needed. The technology has reached the point of almost being able to replicate the vegetables themselves; this, however, is expensive and so only the richest on Crimson Hollow are able to enjoy this luxury.
Edible plant life was not the only flora lost in the crash. All manner of plants that were on the ship at the time of the crash are simply extinct or are very near so.
Due to the lack of plant life, humans lost any regard or respect for nature. They do not see it as something to be preserved or kept. Current generations don't even know what most earth plants look like.
Abilities
- Non-Conflict Spell Immunity: Humans are unaffected by Thessaliá's final spell and are thus able to bring harm and conflict to the Drow and High Elves.
