Irwadi

The Irwadi as a loose group of people from the Great Desert. As one of the Kep'Sarnathi 'Sarnathi they can trace their roots back to the city of Sarnath.   Unlike the Orladdi and Shek, who foresaw the city's downfall and embraced a nomadic lifestyle, the Irwadi chose to remain within the city even as it crumbled. Over time, they devolved into raiders and are known for their brutal and violent tendencies.
Legend has it that the Irwadi's descent into raiding and violence began with the nobles of Sarnath. Unaware of the impending changes, the nobles sought to maintain their power and commanded their servants and soldiers to loot and raid neighbouring settlements. As resources dwindled, they resorted to cannibalism, with some nobles consuming their own servants. Revolts ensued, resulting in the escape of some individuals into the desert, while others succumbed to rival factions or assumed positions of power previously held by their masters.
The Irwadi's way of life revolves around raiding and pillaging. They do not plan ahead and often rely on opportunistic attacks rather than strategic manoeuvres. They harbour deep-seated distrust for other tribes, particularly the Orladdi and Shek, whom they view as traitors for abandoning the city. The Irwadi fiercely protect their own families and may "adopt" individuals into their tribes to bolster their numbers. However, the treatment of these adopted individuals varies, ranging from forced servitude to grisly fates.   Living an unsustainable existence, the Irwadi rely on constant raids for survival. They are feared for their proficiency in attacking supply caravans and settlements, disrupting trade routes and causing insecurity in the region. While a rare few individuals have abandoned their violent traditions and sought alternative paths, the Irwadi as a whole remain a formidable force in the Great Desert, perpetuating a cycle of aggression and hostility in their struggle for survival.
