The royal family of the Great Plains
The Olid Family is a noble house in the tumultuous land of Theron. Although their origins are obscured by a devastating fire that consumed their ancestral home, now known as the Ashen Hall, and destroyed many records, they have managed to rebuild their wealth and influence over the generations.
With their ancestral records lost, the Olid Family faced numerous challenges and setbacks, leading them to resort to cunning political manoeuvres and nefarious means to regain their standing in society. They patiently played the game of power, taking advantage of the chaos and infighting among the nobles of Theron.
It was during the aftermath of the death of King Brennus of Theron that the Olid Family rose to prominence. King Kurgan Olid, a shrewd and ambitious leader, seized the opportunity presented by the power vacuum and the struggles for control in the city of Harrowgate, the capital of the Great Plains. Through a series of calculated moves and the mysterious disappearances of rivals, Kurgan emerged as the ruler of Harrowgate and claimed the title of King of the Great Plains.
The Olid Family found an invaluable ally in Lysandra Trakus, the cousin and widow of the late King Brennus. Through familial allegiance, Lysandra and Kurgan forged a strong bond, and their union resulted in the birth of a single child named Rowan.
