The Abyss

The Endless Twisting Plane of Madness and Demons

Very little is known of The Abyss. It, much like The Nine Hells is supposedly one of the outer planes, but unlike the nine hells it has not got the same connection with the gods of Celestia and Arcadia, and the denizens of The Abyss don't concern themselves as much with the material plane.
The legends about it suggest that it is an endless, twisting plane of madness, filled with unthinkable horrors and demons. These demons who inhabit the plane are in constant competition and war with each other - war, slaughter and death are part of daily life there.
Another consistent account of The Abyss suggest that it's demons are locked in an eternal war with the devils of the nine hells, to which they are connected by the River Styx, and that the hatred between them runs deep.
