The Eternal King
King Ra Du-Ho (a.k.a. The Eternal King)
The Eternal King, a Monarch who ruled for more than 170 years starting around 950 AE. Although his moniker isn’t at all accurate his goals were where his name originated. Having taken the Eternal Crown, a magical device that prevents death and makes its wearer immune to aging, he stayed forever young.
Born under the name Ra, of the current ruling family of Cheochu. He came into power young at the age of 25 and after expanding Cheochu into the southern reaches of The Deathlands he uncovered The Eternal Crown. Soon after acquiring this artifact his reign turned from one of military and expansion to tyranny and cruelty. He never took a wife, instead expanding a harem of girls taken, generally unwillingly, from across Cheochu.
However the Knights of the Crown, traditionally the bodyguards of the king, turned against him, intending to instate a cadet house as the new rulers, this went poorly, empowered by the Crown and wielding other artifacts from the Deathlands he dispatched the knights and hunted the remaining down. It wasn’t until a unassuming group, the women from his harem, poisoned his food and locked him in a sarcophagus was he finally deposed.
