Tomb of the Eternal King

The Tomb of the Eternal king, although a misnomer to the catacomb that it actually is. This catacomb has fallen into decay and disrepair, very odd for any of the catacombs in Cheochu that haven't been raided by Vershen. This catacomb is home to its namesake, the Eternal King an old king of Cheochu who obtained The Eternal Crown, a device makes its wearer unable to die of old age and even resist death by more physical means, unless the crown is removed from their head, where all the aging that occurred while the crown was worn happens suddenly and all at once, typically three times more severe than the actual years aged.
The Eternal King was a tyrant and hated by his people, they say he was poisoned and interred within the catacomb on the same day, his successor delivering a speech denouncing the now dead king. This catacomb was built over the burial site of the knights of the crown, an order that opposed the Eternal King when his tyranny was made apparent, and the ghosts of those knights are said to prevent the escape of the spirit of the king. This rumor has caused the local villages to avoid this catacomb like the plague, and not keep it in good repair, an act generally seen as disgraceful in the country, but understood in this case.

History

During the year of 1473 AE a group of adventurers from the Freesword Guild were contracted by Vershen to descend into the catacombs to retrieve the eternal crown, they reported their quest successful though the locals still avoid the area.
