Hayato is a very plain, average looking Japanese man, who notoriously dresses several decades out of date. His style of dress, down to the glasses on his face, harken back to 70s fashion. He makes use of a lot of gaudy flannel button downs, and prefers to shop for vintage clothes.Personality
Hayato is a soft spoken, unassuming man. He doesn't have quite the confidence that his wife has, and often likes to keep to himself and his interests. He is a huge historical fashion nerd and will often purchase and dress in clothing from whatever decade has caught his interest. He has had dreams of working in fashion but sticks with simple, small town life instead. Hayato is notably a pacifist, with no fighting skill. This led his father in law, Hisashi Hamato, having a great dislike to him, and he notably refused to bless him and Ayumi's marriage on multiple occasions.Relationships
History
Ayumi met Hayato when they were in highschool and they immediately fell in love with each other. Hisashi, however, never really liked him and didn't approve of their relationship. Hisashi thought Hayato to be weak of mind and body and not suited to be a true Hamato. When they were young adults, Aymui ended up getting pregnant out of wedlock with Hayato's baby, which force Hishashi to change his mind about their marriage. They would name the child Emiko and proceed to have 3 more children, including twins.
Relationship Reasoning
Ayumi and Hayato at hearts are both nerdy people, and immediately hit it off when they would infodump to each other about their favorite topics. They still love and support each other dearly. Ayumi finds Hayato to be a lovable goof ball and is happy to have someone support her interests and how she wants to raise her family.
