Mousers

Mousers are small robots created by Baxter Stockman.

Utility

Mousers were originally invented to deal with New York's rat problem. They are designed to be able to sniff out and hunt down their target from great distances and over a massive area. Their strong jaws are powerful enough to crush and cut through bone, stone, and even metal. Their clawed feet allow them to dig and latch onto steep surfaces. Their 'eye' contains a sensitive camera with thermal sensors inside. They can record data which is stored in a small removable hard drive in their heads.   While their intended purpose is for pest control, Stockman often uses them for data and resource collection, as he is typically unable to leave his lab. Mousers can be used to collect anything that can fit in their mouth, such as Mutagen canisters, which they are often sent into the Rockefeller Contamination Zone to collect.

2.0

Mousers 2 are similar to their original versions but have a squarer head. This is to fix a 1.0 weakeness where their heads are structurally weak and easy to crush. They also come with the ability to hunt down and capture larger prey, with their lasso-like tongues that can extend and send and electrical pulse into it's prey, stunning it. Mousers 2 also have enhanced communication tech, allowing Stockman to speak direction through them with voice and hologram technology.

Manufacturing

Mousers are produced at the assembly station of Stockgen. Assembly machines overseen much of the construction for efficiency. Due to their relatively low resource usage, up to a dozen can be produced in just a single day. However this means they are often made with cheap materials that make them the weaker of Stockman's machines.

History

Stockman initially invented the Mousers to genuinely aid in the massive pest problem the city suffered with. However few companies seemed interested in the project, either because they feared the machines would be too effective and drive pest control companies out of business, or the potential risk they posed to civilians if they were to ever malfunction. It wasn't until he got a grant from the Earth Protection Force who were curious about their usefulness dealing with the Rockefeller Contamination Incident that he could go into full production of the machines.   However, production stopped when the EPF pulled out of the Contamination Zone, leaving a large number of Mousers to remain unused. When Stockman began to run low on his personal supply of mutagen, he started sending the Mousers back to find more, where they would run into the Mutant Turtles for the first time.
