Some of the people of Tol feel a call to a divine purpose. While some take this call to be personal, and some even receive it in arrogance, some accept it humbly and seek other individuals with the same calling. Those who hear the voice of the Gods calling them to service sometimes become the warrior-priests known simply as Clerics.

Clerics seem unparalleled at revealing is the mercy and protection that the Gods offer., whether through healing magics, the turning of undead, or even summoning the servants of their gods to aid them. Most Clerics possess powers of healing that no other adventurers can match, and they’re often capable of bolstering and aiding their allies in many ways.

All cultures possess clerical traditions, although the Elves of Faerinwold have fewer Clerics and more Druids. Clerics are also less common amongst the Aeotaens of Kaoru and other cultures that revere the Primal Spirits rather than a God.
