Elven Chainmail is the term used (largely incorrectly) by those not of
Elven or
Eladrin birth for a style of chainmail made by Eladrin artisans from
Mithral. The technique can only be performed in the
Feywild or in places where the veil between
Tol and the Feywild is thin. The metal is hammered into delicate wire, then threaded into incredibly dense, but light and flexible, chainmail.
It is often ornately designed and decorated, and suits become family heirlooms. They are rarely given to non-Eladrin, except those of the
Eladrin Elenta Ayaeri, who might be honored with a personally designed suit.
