Redwing Regiment

The Redwing Regiment is a special honor guard position awarded by military leader of Gristamere. When a Goblinoid is found worthy of the honor, his or her commanding officer will bestow it upon them, but, in rare cases of great honor, the Zhakastir himself will grant the title and perform the initiation ceremony.

The new member of the Regiment is draped in a white cloak, and the one initiating them pins the clasp himself. He then dips his hands in blood and clasps them on the shoulders, creating a red mark which resembles wings. Thereafter, the item is known as a Cloak of the Redwing.

It is almost unheard of for races other than goblinkind to be granted this honor, and a non-goblin who bears such a cloak is considered a true friend of Gristamere. The most recent recipients of this were the Fire Wasps, who had their cloaks bestowed on them by former Zhakastir Thrukesh Gerstenmager himself.
