Shellcliff is a town in the
Holds of the Sea Barons. Stone shaping magic created a path through rock cliffs into a deep lake, thus creating a well-hidden harbor. Similar magic was used to make a maze of reefs and shoals taught only to those captains trusted to dock and do business.
Shellcliff’s dockside has been expanded multiple times when ships have foundered when trying to enter without permission. The sunken ships have been taken and incorporated into new buildings, lending them a distinct look.
The current Sea Baron of Shellcliff is
Honnak Wavecutter, a well-liked, if somewhat foppish,
Half-Orc who slew the former Baron,
Thurman Vong, in a duel.
