Taija Stonehand

Taija Stonehand is a Loxodon Monk from Dojhan. She had traveled to Velnar to explore legends of large cities of Loxodons there, and she disappeared several years ago. Before she left, she paid for someone to take a note to a priest to have a sending spell cast. Unfortunately, there were delays of many months, so it's not clear when she was actually last seen. Her message read, "Ancient City. Five serpents gaze upon it. The night serpent's gaze is on me. The source of the weeping god's tears. Send aid. Vast knowledge." No further messages ever came. Kylon Strongtusk hoped to find evidence of what happened to her as he travels in Velnar.

He eventually discovered an ancient Yuan-Ti ruin known by locals as the Weeping Goddess Ruins. In the depths below the upper city, he and his companions discovered a well of inky darkness, gazed upon by the evil serpentine Gods of the Yuan-Ti. Taija rose from this well, remade as a mummy guardian. In the end, Kylon and his companions returned her to death, granting her peace. Before her end, she locked hands with Kylon and implanted her tattoo, the Eldritch Claw, on his arm.
