Kingdom of Galandor

Galandor was an isolated elven kingdom, northwest of the Lightfoot Land.

Government

The king or queen is the sovereign of all the people in Galandor. Serving as a figure of authority and reference for the people, the king is also the supreme commander of the armies and has the final say in the politics of the country.

Culture

Orcs work to live, dwarves live to work
The elves of Galandor saw themselves as superior to most other races, their long life was merely an indication of their superiority, and if they had to watch over the short-lived one, the short-lived had to praise and worship them. Especially with control of elven high Magic offering them yet another proof of their higher status.   Galandor was a kingdom composed only of elves and dragons as official citizens, other mortals were considered inferior and couldn't have citizenship granted.   Elves of Galandor used to despise human, especially as they also developed powerful magic after the Nexus Overflow. The idea of flying cities, looking down on them, and being ruled by humans was something horrible to a citizen of Galandor.   All the elven kingdom's capital and important city had large portals to the Feywild, a link to their home plane.

Relations

The Kingdom of Lórien was the former home of the elves from Galandor. But because of their divergence in point of view, they were viewed as weak, and unworthy of being a real ally.   The Dryad from the Wood of the Vale were know for their magical power long before the nexus overflow, and as such were respected by the people of Galandor.

History

In the year 2967 BD, a significant event occurred with the nexus overflow, resulting in the creation of Elven High Magic. This event triggered a desire for expansion within a portion of the Kingdom of Lórien. However, their Queen did not grant this wish, causing internal division.   As a result, various independent groups within the kingdom led by Yaevinn Murmevent resorted to guerrilla warfare and attempted to expand eastward. Unfortunately, these elves found themselves outmatched by the Chezucore Theocracy, as the Yuan-ti inhabiting the region prevented them from entering the jungle. Fearing substantial casualties, these groups eventually chose to unite and embark on a journey to the east.   After a challenging journey, they finally found safety and security in what is now known as the Lightfoot Land, where they established the kingdom of Galandor.
