Diplomatie

Relations

The Kingdom of Lórien had a strong link with the Dryad from the wood of the Vale, the two sharing a common goal to protect the land, but disagreeing on how to do it. Despite this disagreement on the method, the two were ally and had a deep bond.

History

Genesis

In 4921 BD, with the end of the War of the Ancients, the elves who fought gatehred, forming a kingdom of their own, an authority that would rule over the lands and prevent another disaster like the war from happening. The realm centered around the original rift that spawned the demons in the middle of what is now known as the Wasted cliff but used to be a verdant forest, and reaching up to the Highlanders Mountains.

Nexus Overflow

In the year 2967 BD, a significant event occurred with the Nexus Overflow, resulting in the creation of Elven High Magic. This event triggered a desire for expansion within a portion of the Kingdom of Lórien. However, their Queen did not grant this wish, causing internal division.   As a result, various independent groups within the kingdom led by Yaevinn Murmevent resorted to guerrilla warfare and attempted to expand eastward. Unfortunately, these elves found themselves outmatched by the Chezucore Theocracy, as the Yuan-ti inhabiting the region prevented them from entering the jungle. Fearing substantial casualties, these groups eventually chose to unite and embark on a journey to the east.   After a challenging journey, they finally found safety and security in what is now known as the Lightfoot Land, where they established the Kingdom of Galandor.

Lich War

In 1574 BD, when Vecna 's forces marched on Lorien, an army of undead creatures, including zombies, skeletons, beasts, and even undead unicorns, brutally attacked the capital city. Far from the conflict in a secluded temple of Selune during the conflict, Lireesa Windrunner had a profound vision with the goddess herself on the day her mother, Alleria Windrunner was captured by Vecna. Selune revealed to her that defeating Vecna would require three things: a magical blade infused with the soul of Vecna's lieutenant, the assistance of dragons, and a means to cross between planes alongside the warriors of the night.   Determined to save her mother and defeat Vecna, Lireesa first sought the help of dragons. Knowing that Vecna's thirst for power would extend to other realms, she urgently requested a parley with the Golden Five , who ultimately agreed to aid her cause. With Selune's guidance, Lireesa had a vision of Entropis , Vecna's new tower in the shadowfell, and she understood the urgency of her quest. She sought the help of the elves from the Kingdom of Galandor to redirect their portal to the Feywild to instead lead to the shadowfell. Despite their reluctance, Lireesa pressed on, knowing that Time was of the essence, but they ultimately refused, believing the Lich war was none of their concern.   With her holy army marching towards Lorien despite the lack of the blade mentioned in Selune's vision, they faced countless undead forces. The dragons allied with Lireesa's forces turned the tide of battle, enabling them to reach the capital and the portal to Thar Amphala . However, the shadowfell's corruption weakened her warriors, and they were soon overwhelmed. In a desperate attempt to reach Entropis, Lireesa snuk inside the tower with a group of warriors, and alone managed to reach the tower's summit and confronted Vecna in an epic single combat. Though the battle was intense, Lireesa was ultimately defeated and lay on the ground, about to be beheaded.   In a twist of fate, Vecna's lieutenant, Kas, betrayed the lich, using a sword made with his own soul to kill the spellcaster. This act saved Lireesa's life, as both Vecna and Kas destroyed each other in battle. Escaping the shadowfell with her mother and the surviving forces, Lireesa returned to her kingdom, where she led the charge to reclaim it from Vecna's influence.   With Vecna's Death and the assistance of the dragons, the Windrunner family regained control of their kingdom. In 1564 BD, Lireesa was crowned queen, as her mother believed that the corruption that had tainted her did not befit a queen.

Orc War

Early stage

Under Gul'dan influence as a representative of the Shadowmoon clan, the Bladewind clan of orcs was convinced that the elves were the cause of the Red Pox, a disease spreading among orcs and of the elemental woes the orcs were suffering.   The orcs all respected the Shadowmoon and the Bladewind had no reason to question Gul'dan. Eager to change their fortunes, they formed raiding parties and began attacking elven caravans. They killed dozens of elves and captured even more.   But the queen dismissed those attacks as the aggressions of a bloodthirsty species of savage, and sent more troops to secure the border of the kingdom without further agenda.   The orc clans, now united called themselves the horde, Gul'dan and the shadow Council guided the orcs into battle, facing the elves and humans. The Orrin empire wasn't preapred for this assault, nor was the kingdom of Lorien, rumors spread through the streets talking about orcs as vengeful spirits. The horde marched on the lands of Orrin, murdering every single being they could find on their path of destruction. Filled with the demonic blood of Baphomet, the orcs lusted for war and would destroy anything that prevented them from reaching their goal; to conquer the west of Toriel.   As the orc had to breach the Orrin empire before they could access the Lorien, the queen wasn't worried for her people, believing the orcs to be a group of savage, they would certainely meet their demise facing the knights of Orrin. Messengers were dispatched from the Orrin empire to the elven kingdom of Lorien, warning of mysterious, fearsome red-skinned invaders.

The siege of the Orrin Empire's Capital

The queen originally refused to hear the plea of the humans, but advice from the Seekers, informing her the orcs were under the influence of a demon, Queen Lireesa agreed to send troops to the empire in 1214 BD.   in 1212 BD, the horde managed to surround the empire's capital. Thousands of Horde soldiers marched and encircled the capital, cutting off all access except for the sea. As it seemed the capital would fall that day, there were suddenly cries of an attack from the Horde's rear lines.   But the elven knights had been instructed thanks to information from the Hesian order to move around the horde by sea. As the orcs tried to push back the knights of Lorien, the capital's large gates opened and the empire's kninghts poured out of the city to flank the orcs in a counterattack. Outflanked on both sides and suffering many casualties, the orcs were left with no choice but to flee. This was the greatest disaster to ever happen to the Horde.

The Empire retaliates

Lireesa suggested a guerilla agains the orc outpost. Sending her scout and rangers, they whiped the orcs' raiding parties and secured the empire's capital region once again. A group of scouts were sent into the remnants of the cities wipped by the orcs; they reported back that the survivors had been taken to a hidden orcish compound to serve as slaves.   The Hesian order also confirmed that all the slaves were grouped together in a offsite location and that an enclosure had to be destroyed in order to make a path for the prisoners from which they could escape from. Elven scouts also reported of two orcish outpost south before the orcish encampment in which the prisoners were held. A plan was devised to attack the outpost and free the slaves.   The elven scouts reported that the key to a victory for them in this confrontation would be to hold back the orcs forces at their outposts while strengthening the empire's attack force to prepare for a massive all-out attack.   The empire's war mages burned the orcish outposts, and the elven knights slaughtered the orcs' warriors. The outposts were laid to waste as all the orcs troops were slain.

Ambush

Lireesa, who had traveled to meet with Arthas Hart and discuss the affair of this war, retreated to her kingdom with a quarter of her troops, leaving many elven soldiers behind to regroup with the empire forces and retaliate against the orcs, especially has recent informations led to belive half of the horde had flee.   But the queen and her soldiers ere attacked by this missing half of the horde, led by gul'dan and his desire for revenge against the elves who helped the Orrin empire. Gul'dan used his demonic power to kill the queen and her troops.   With the death of Lireesa, the Sylvanas Windrunner called upon the dragons of the Golden Five, calling upon their help to end this war and to avenge her dead mother.   But Kueli, who answered the call, refused to help a cycle of endless vengeance that would only bring war and destruction to Toriel.   Meanwhile, Orrin's and Lorien's troops gathered like buzzards to carrio, as the moment of destiny was close at hand. The earth shook as the knights mounted griffin and horses. fiery rocks falling from the sky thanks to humans' mage as the bulk of the knights marched to the orcs camps. Within moments, the horde's camp was ablaze with shadow dancing on the walls. While orcs were busy trying to put out the fires, and the orc started to flee, the orc had lost their morale and will to fight, the war was lost.   Those who managed to flee sought Gul'dan, whom they considered, and those who joined him on his quest for vengeance, as traitors. When the fleing orcs finally met with Gul'dan and the survivors of their attack on the elves, their bloodlust took over, and they slaughtered Gul'dan and the remainder of his clan.
