The Ruins of Shandaular

The Council Hills, also known as the Ruins of Shandaular, is a clump of hills in the Eastern Shaar where the territory of several tribes meet. The hills are home to the long-destroyed city of Shandaular and have since been mere ruins.

Modifications to the actual lore include:
1296 after the Great War:

- A gigantic door bearing the craftsmanship of dwarves is found by a small team of arcane archaeologists. It is magically sealed shut. Dwarves seeking the answer to the door usually end up studying for years in Candlekeep .

1493 after the Great War:

- It is now known that the door can only be opened by good or neutral dwarves bearing an artefact previously owned by Moradin, as well as carrying one of the seven legendary Hearts of Sand, artifacts long forgotten by the desert. It is now believed to be the ancient Origin Forge, the same one that forged the very first dwarves.

- Near the end of the year, the Golden Company opens the forge, using Moradin's gloves and three Hearts of Sand as keys. The Forge is revealed to be a Soul Forge in Solania, the fourth layer of Mount Celestia. It is in a hidden domain, protected by Moradin, just like all of his other Soul Forges. The door to the forge is but a portal that needs the required items every single time to be opened.

1494 after the Great War:

- The Golden Company successfully opens the door and uses the forge to create magical items that will help them on their quest against the gods.
