Norbury

Norbury is a small, secluded fishing village along the shores of the Song Maiden's Bay, just northwest of Torrin. The village is home to around sixty or so people, who are primarily fishermen, survivalists, and their families. The village is surrounded by treacherous swamps that make it difficult to reach for traders from Taernsby, making some resources, like steel and iron, incredibly rare and valuable; primitive tools and weaponry are much more common place and metals are considered items of fortune and privilege.   The village is built around the fishing industry, with the villagers relying on the bay and the swamps for their livelihood. The villagers take to the sea every day, in their small fleet of fishing boats, to catch fish and seafood from the bay to maintain their individual food stores.   The village's isolation from the rest of the region means that the villagers have to be practical and resourceful in order to survive. They are naturalists and survivalists who have learned to live off the dangerous swamps and seas that surround them. The villagers are experts at navigating the surrounding waters, and they use the resources that the lands provide to sustain themselves. The villagers are also skilled at hunting and trapping, and they use these skills to supplement their diet.
