The Scattered Isles
The Scattered Isles are the score of broken chain islands that make up the southern-most portions of the Isles of Oteth island continent and is ruled by one of Oteth's Four Lords, (Hightower descendant). Because of the chain islands' makeup, it favors smaller encampments and settlements to act as buffers for invaders brave enough to try island-hopping, but moving through the waters around and between the islands in of itself is treacherous and many graveyards of Giamelan ships from the Invasion of Oteth still litter the waterways that ran aground on the scattered reefs centuries ago and if the barrier reefs don't run a ship aground; rumor has it the seas themselves ebb and flow outside of the tidal flux.
