The Flooding of Kar Ladur

Disaster / Destruction

750ATS
26/4

The rains of early spring did not cease for weeks on end in 750 ATS. Historians and the most pious of men called it a storm of a generation. It was on the 26th Day of Tarsakh that the halls of Kar Ladur in the Western Peaks of the Broken Spine of Salazar flooded and drowned the entire populace that was present, including Skalgan Gold-Hammer, Son of Borlaec, Son of Björn. He would be the Last Lord of Kar Ladur.
The Halfling, Gozbert Tunnelly, was the last to hear the voice of Gold-Hammer. It was only because of him that the fate of Kar Ladur, its people, and its Lord is known to the Empire. He was the only person Skalgan trusted outside of the Gold-Hammer Clan.
There are many theories of what caused the flood, but none have been able to venture into the Lost Hall of Kar Ladur to confirm the tales.
What is certain though, thousands lives were lost, countless historical artifacts and tomes, and another Dwarven Clan and Stronghold were lost in that historic storm and those that bear blood-relation to the Gold-Hammer Clan are far and few between and are closer to kinship than blood.
