Blak Guard

The best of the best, the Blak Guard is an elite group of the best fighters in the kingdom. They don magical armor and use magical weapons to form one-man-armies. They have never been defeated in combat since their creation hundreds of years ago. Their only weakness is that their number is very limited due to the rigorous selection process.

Organization

The Blak Guard is a small organization consisting of 24 members. As a result, they don't require a high level of organization and each of them answer directly to the Blakfort King or anyone they are given orders to obey. Every member knows the rest quite well as they often spend a lot of time together.

Ranks

Every member of the Blak Guard is equal to the others and they don't have a specific leader other than the Blakfort King. As a result, the term Blak Guard refers to both the organization and its members.

Battle Tactics

As the personal bodyguard of the Blakfort King and due to their low numbers, the Blak Guard rarely finds itself in the midst of battle. Despite this, they have drills and strategies for this occasion, which is very similar to that of the Noble Guards'. They surround the Blakfort King and try to clear a safe route for him, while protecting him from harm via their shields. 

During Peace

The Blak Guard is often thought to be a ceremonial bodyguard and nothing more, but this isn't the case. As constant members of the Royal Court and high-ranking members of society, they have plenty of time to socialize and spend time with nobility. During peace or when the Blakfort King is at a safe location, members of the Blak Guard serve as literal guards for him and his court, but their functions far exceed that of a simple bodyguard. They are often friends and confidants of the king and they are often tasked with missions of the utmost importance. Despite their menacing appearance and important role, Blak Guards are encouraged to read and write poetry and to take part in courtly activities such as feasts and dances.
