Expedition
An expedition led by Order priests to The Darklands to spread the true faith to the elves.
The mission was cut short when drow slavers captured or killed every member of the group.
Aeron Cadogan, the renowned diviner had a vision a few years prior to the incident, where he saw a group of faithful priests and warriors enter a cave decorated by gigantic bones. The cave sat in black mountains. Upon telling this to the Primas of Westatoras, he began searching for the location described in the vision. Some time later he managed to locate it and sent an expedition there, supposedly to fulfill Cadogan's vision.
The expedition was quickly assaulted by drow slaver ships and only a handful of people reached the Darklands alive and free. While the survivors trekked through the alien landscape towards their destination, a slaving group called the Thruk Einar bought the right to enslave them. They immediately began tracking them down and managed to catch up to them in after the group already entered the cave Cadogan saw in his vision.
Inside the cave, a fight ensued around a dragon skeleton, where a lone order demon was playing some sort of magical violin, until it was disturbed by a magical ritual performed by one of the human priests. Upon the 'awakening' of the demon, it left the cave. The elves let it go and captured the remaining members of the expedition. Whether the original intent of the expedition was fulfilled, remains a mystery, but the expedition was the catalyst for the first Holy War in the name of the Order.
