Dragonit

At first sight, another roughly humanoid species are the Dragonit (singular Dragoi). The species does belong to the unclear classification simply because they have one set of arms, one set of legs and one set of very rudimentary wings, which are in some ethnicities reduced to mere rudimentary bone structures. Also, Dragonit do not possess a tail at all.

It has also been in debate that the Dragonit might be related to the Drachon. This has not been proven but has also not been disproven conclusively yet.

Currently most scholars agree: This species is unique in that it is, almost certainly, an engineered species. Not only that, but the species has been altered after its creation or, less likely, has been re-engineered.

The original Dragonit were a chimaera form of a Lesser Dragon, Lizardman and possibly a Human. It is not clear if the ability to procreate was engineered into the construct as chimaeras are known to be sterile or really asexual.

Various circumstantial evidence exists suggesting that the Dragonit have been altered when they made the transition from their original world to Turian. They probably gained their procreative ability only then.
