The Eldest Triplet
Vita Gladius
I am in a state of constant turmoil and agony of the mind and spirit, everything has changed with me. I have changed with me, how could this happen? I don't know who I am anymore and yet she [Cantionis] reassures me that everything will be okay soon. Nothing feels right, this house is but a broken reflection of the home I used to love. My sister is a total stranger to me. The activities we would occupy our days with as children don't feel the same, instead, I find myself drawn to the garden. It is long overgrown now, the step devoured by wild plants and more fruit-bearing plants than we need have sprouted up. I enjoy the flowers, the cautious animals, and the warmth of the sun on my skin. Cantionis says I have spent entire days out there, staring at the ground or the sky and not moving. I know she worries for me, but I can't bring myself to do anything else. Not anymore.
Vita is the eldest of the Gladius Triplets, children of Lady Gladius and Duke Gladstone. As a child, she was calm and cheerful, always there to help out her siblings if they were upset. Especially Cantionis, the youngest, when it came to communication or music. Vita looked to her mother as probably the most important role model, and copied a lot of her style and traits; anywhere from hairstyle to clothes to speech mannerisms were a nod to her mother. During the unfortunate The Gladius Estate Travesty, Vita among many others was killed; it was the night of the triplet's fourth birthday.

Mental Trauma
After her mysterious resurrection 20 years after she died, Vita is forced to deal with the blow of all those lost years, missing family, the trauma of her own death, and repeated statements that she is not the once lovable young girl she last remembered being.
Every time I speak, a voice that is not mine comes out, and every time I look at a mirror a stranger stares back. One day I went to Infusio to shop at the market and to see what's different when I overheard someone talk about a younger 'me'. They remarked my songs, my voice, my ability to soothe anyone no matter how upset they may be. In that moment of praise, I forgot who I had become and of my unusual predicament. They laughed in my face, pointed and mocked when I told them I was that little girl, who loved to sing and help others for no reason other than I could. How my face must've told them everything they needed to know; their smiles and fits of laughter quickly shifted to shock and thinly veiled pitty. They apologized profusely for their actions and words, for what otherworldly punishment changed me, but the damage was already done. I forgot entirely of my goal to buy new clothes, fresh foods, and browsing new wares to fill the old house in; I rushed home. The two-hour ride back felt like an eternal waiting game and in that time I was numb to the bones. We passed a thorn bush and I reached out to grab a flower, but my hand was caught and bled when I pulled it out. If it weren't for all the blood I never would have noticed. The moment I arrived home I searched for my sister, nothing else made sense to me, and I spent hours crying into her lap. I feel like an imposter, this can't really be me, can it?
