Sērtha Ruydo (ˈseːrt̪ʰɐ ˈrujd̪o)
Witch Guard in Cisren Language
Composition
Manpower
There are usually seven Guvoryu Kāsērtha Warlocks within the Witch Guard. They are supported by the other Warlocks within Kasērtha Guvoryu that live in Sērtha Ūśyā whom unwitting adventurers, initiates, and desperate travelers will have to go through before coming to the Guard. On the other side of the Gloom Portal that leads to Ell Brich they are supported by Dā Е̄tyū Kacī and the government of the lands they protect.
Equipment
The Witch Guard often wears chainmail or leather as their go-to armor with enchantments that provide resistance to cold and ice-based Destruction magic. This is because their patron god Qaydith is one of ice and cold so the magic in their armor protects them from his domain. Within the Guard there is some specialization so there is some additional equipment that they use.
They have medical kits with potions to help them heal their health and magic so they can fight on. Since there is a chance that one of them might not be at the portal to guard it they have access to various stealth equipment so they can pass unnoticed in the populace. The Witch Guards each carry lockpicks so they get into places they shouldn't so they can stay ahead of their enemies. Once inside buildings, they use tools used for information-gathering tools to get information on their various enemies. Each of them carries a symbol of their god, Qaydith.
Weaponry
Sērtha Ruydo uses many different weapons preferring swords, bows, axes, and spears that they use for inflicting physical threats. They use their symbols of Qaydith to focus their spell casting but for the most part they do not use staves or wands although a few do. All of their weapons are enchanted with ice magic.
