Lazuria (Las-uri-a)
Princess Lazuria Waterbane- Rousseau (a.k.a. The traitorous princess)
The ambitious, cunning Princess of Rivell, who opened the kingdom to the Empire of Akoom. She was the last Rousseau ruler of Rivell, she is attributed as being the one to start The Game, and ending a dynasty.
History
Early life and education
Born the oldest child of King Dominique IV of Rivell, Lazuria had every luxury. Tutors were imported to the capital from around the world, including a Waterbane for lessons in politics. She spent the first ten years being prepared to rule as the next in line. During her tenth year however her brother, Crown Prince Damien, was born and she became second in line after him. A lot of her more 'how to rule' tutors were removed, with her lessons taking more of a focus on general knowledge and how to be a lady. The exception to this was her politics teacher, as she had shown impressive diplomatic acumen. Resenting this, and possibly with a little 'pushing' from her politics teacher, Lazuria hired a shadow to spy on her family.Adolensance
While living a life of luxury during her early teens, it was a caged life, not being allowed to leave the palace without guards and expected to follow a strict schedule. Suitors from other parts of the kingdom also started showing up at court, thoroughly done with all this Lazuria stopped willingly showing up to court. Rumors also started to spread that she was, if not directly, responsible for several more persistent suitors' deaths.Treaty of Lacertillia
The latter half of her teens was a turbulent period for Lazuria. First, was the kingdom gearing up for war due to the increased threat from the empire of Akoom. Second, her favored politics teacher passed away, with a failed invasion from the empire of Akoom following shortly after. This was preceded by another military build-up as a second invasion was suspected due to increased naval build-up by the empire. However due to an interventional letter, the king finding out it was forged by herself, the target turned out to be Lacertillia. After the night was lit up with green light from the sea, Lazuria was sent as Rivell's representative to the following conference. Matching wits with Trafor Waterbane, she saw an opportunity to claim what she saw was rightfully hers. Slipping a marriage alliance between Rivell and Lacertillia as a side clause of the treaty it looked, on the surface, that she had secured Rivell's safety. Due to moving to Lacertillia, she gained her freedom from court life without losing her information, her 'bardic' network increasing.Deal with the Devil
Her next few decades in Lacertillia were spent quietly with Trafor, securing deals and ensuring Lacertillia's prosperity. This changed with the death of her father in 150 Devine, Seeing an opportunity, a secret meeting was set up between Lazuria and the empire to help her take what is rightfully hers. Kicking off the second crusade of Rivell, Lazuria arrived at the head of a paladin army to 'claim her birthright.' In the opening year of the conflict, her brother, Damien, died of suspicious circumstances, making Lazuria queen of Rivell. Unfortunately for Lizuria this was in name only as she was instantly put under house arrest by the Paladins of Akoom, becoming just a figurehead for their continued conquest of the region. The traitorous princess
A year later, it was discovered by The Purple knights that one of Lazuria's bards had killed Damien, as well as the agreement between the princess and the empire. Branded a traitor by Iti and her knights, Lazuria was stripped of her titles. She was found dead in her chambers less than a month later, a joker left on the dagger used to slit her throat.
