Fylgja/Hamingja
A fae that accompanies a person through their life, connected to their fate and fortune.
They are usually invisible or in the shape of an animal and they sometimes appear in front of its owner, in dreams, and offer portents of events to come.
Some are powerless to interviene except as an omen, others are able to bestow luck or strength to their connection.
The more involved ones - usually called Hamingja - would transfer themselves to a loved one upon death of their soulbound person.
