Beauty Ideals
Desert Dwellers
Being people of the desert and dwarves, these reclusive, subterranean humanoids prefer the austere stone and earth and its vibrant beauty and colors to the shiny metals of their non-desert counterparts. As such, ideal beauty is in the eyes, affectionately called "gems," and the ability to mine such precious materials. Of course, this is just the majority, some prefer metals and bodily capabilities over gems and colors.Gender Ideals
Men
For the men, ability to mine or carve various gems is sought out. The goldsmiths and silversmiths are also heralded as ideal partners, especially if they can inlay with gems.Women
Females are sought for their eye shapes and colors. Great cooking skills is apparent in both, but sought higher in females than males. A woman's ability to cut gems or quarry geodes is also sought after.Courtship Ideals
When one wishes to propose, they must bring a gemstone to the person to which they are proposing. They present the gem in any manner they deem fit. If the other party accepts it is generally decided the two will wed. The receiving party are usually seen crafting a headdress, necklace, ring, or other fancy accessory with the gemstone.
