The Custodian of the Sirisean Dominion is the head of state and is directly elected by the people of Sirisea for 5-year terms. The Premier of the Sirisean Dominion is the head of government and is appointed by the Custodian to lead the Sirisean government.LEGISLATIVE BRANCH
The Sirisean Parliament is a bicameral legislature composed of a Council and a Senate. The Council deputies represent local constituencies and are directly elected for 5-year terms. The majority in the Council determines the choice of government, as the Council has the power to dismiss the Premier and their government. Senators represent districts and are directly elected for 6-year terms; one half of the seats are submitted to election every 3 years.The Senate's legislative powers are limited; in the event of disagreement between the two chambers, the Council has the final say. The Government has a strong influence in shaping the agenda of Parliament.
