The Duchy of Kedwin
Kedwin is situated between the delta of The River Vale and the easternmost wings of the Antuil. The region is ruled by House Amon, a controversial family of the upper aristocracy. House Amon began its history as purveyors of the rich mineral deposits near the capitol of Kedway. Through deft political maneuvering, economic domination, and a flair for ruthlessness, the family was able to usurp the ducal title from the Kedwyns in the year 148 CA. Today Kedwin is known for its dominance of the ore and precious metal markets, as well as its vast network of informers.
The kingdom of Kedwin covers an area of 55 thousand square miles. Of this, 30% (16 thousand sq. miles) is arable land, and 69% (38 thousand sq. miles) is wilderness. The kingdom of Kedwin has a total population of 2.2 million people. The largest city has a population of 70,094 people, the second largest 8,663. There are no other cities of note in the kingdom, and 20 towns. The remaining population lives in numerous small villages, isolated dwellings, etc.
