Frigid Woe
The first recorded case was Honjou Morikata, an adventurer Kitsune who had returned to Nami Village after exploring the Frost Territories for a year. He had been back for only a few days when he came down with a strange affliction, which made the human move slowly and caused blue veins to appear all over his body.
The village’s priests used every spell they could muster to attempt to heal Honjou, but nothing they tried could stop the bizarre malady. Honjou battled the affliction for weeks, until his ever-slowing body eventually turned to ice.
Elro Aldataur and the rest of the community believed that Honjou’s sad fate was an isolated incident, most likely caused by something the Kitsune came into contact with while exploring the Frost Territories. Then he noticed Tulgi Lutan, a dwarf trapper, showing signs of the same illness.
Concerned he might have an epidemic on his hands, Elro Aldataur asked the Band of Furries for assistance.
Hulil Lutan, sister of Tulgi Lutan had called the disease Frigid Woe.
