Kratocracy Gilding
Coins. Currency. Gilding.
Created during the early centuries of the Kratocracy Empire, Gilding is the standard coinage system employed by the Empire at large. Being one of the oldest known currency systems in place has lead to it being mimicked by several other countries/nations due to the ease of integration into their economies and allowing for the faster transfer and liquidation of wealth by those that possess it. The currency comes with its wealth holding system to further help with making sure that people are able to carry additional wealth at the same time without needing to inflate the prices of items/goods and mint more coins unnecessarily. This was for the purpose of granting people the capacity to carry large sums of easily liquid sources of wealth from both the Platinum & Gold gilding denominations. During the early days of the Kratocracy Empire, it was necessary to be able to move large amounts of wealth quickly so that society could be restored & trade flourish. Most items are purchased with Silver as that is the most circulated Gilding, next to Copper which exist in semi-abundance and is constantly in motion across the Empire. By and large, it is seen as unnecessary to carry around the amount of Copper to equal the next denomination of currency unless you recently make an expenditure. Most individuals are taxed for a tenth of their total earned income regardless of the expenses they have experienced in a month. Salvage, treasure hoards, & other goods must also be declared when entering a city so that they may be assessed a tax; this is usually 10% of the determined value but can be more if the value of the items is considerable.
